Ride Along is an ongoing body of work by Brejenn Allen that documents the quiet theater of Southern life by capturing passing figures, roadside architecture, and the humor embedded in the everyday. Rooted in the culture shock she experienced as a child when moving to no-stop-light town Porterville, Mississippi, from the "bottomside" of Gary, Indiana, the series reconstructs childhood memory through layered acrylic and mixed media, where texture becomes a vehicle for story and place.

Each work invites the viewer into the passenger seat on an intimate drive through small towns where overlooked buildings and people hold history and stories of resilience and peace. Each work becomes both a keepsake and an invitation to witness, remember, and carry a piece of the journey home.
