This painting is the first in a series of paintings using poses from famous portraits in art history. Brejenn replicates the Mona Lisa with Kiki, an artist, waitress, and owner of Cloudless, a design company. She asks her models to come in wearing whatever makes them more robust and poses them in what fits their attire and personality best. She portrays beautiful black people with everyday lives, hardships, and different experiences to ensure these people are immortal, just like those historical paintings.
